Niger State Reaffirms Transparency In Awarding Contract

Niger state government has warmed that it will not hesitate to revoke any contract and blacklist the contractor for any act that negate standard prescribed in the specifications of its contract.

Chairman Niger State Universal Basic Education Board Dr Isa Adamu gave the warning at the opening of bid for twenty nineteen first quarter UBEC/NSUBEB intervention fund held in Minna.

Represented by Parmanent member one Alh Umar Mohd Alkali the Chairman Dr Isa Adamu maintained that the bid opening was transparent devoid of any interest and sentiment.

According to him probity and accountability will continue to be their guiding principles in the award of contract in the state especially under his watch.

He also charged the due process officers to resist pressure from any quota and carry out the exercise professionally to achieve the set target.

Dr Isa Adamu however reminded them that they would reward any contractor that discharges his work effectively

In her speech Niger state Commissioner of Education hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu represented by Permanent Secretary in the ministry Engineer Abubakar Sadik Balarabe cautioned contractors against taking the bid as a do or die affair

Speaking on behalf of the contractors Mr Areo Sunday, gave assurance that they would work in accordance with specifications to justify the confidence repose on them.

Good will messages were presented by representatives of UBEC and other stakeholders who commended Niger state Universal Basic Education Board for following due process in the award of its contract.
