Zamfara Assembly Advocates Construction Of Eastern Bye-pass Road In Tsafe

Zamfara State Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution calling on the state government to construct an Eastern Bye-pass road in Tsafe town in to ease traffic congestion especially on market days .

The resolution followed a motion raised by a member representing Tsafe East Constituency, Honourable Musa Bawa Musa Yankuzo who was also the Deputy Speaker of the House.

Musa Bawa Musa maintained that Tsafe town, being on the highway leading to state capital need such type of expansion along the Eastern part of the town to allow easy vehicular movements in and out of the state.

According to him, the distance of the Road is approximated at four kilometers and does not require bridges or multi cells culvert therefore need not much money to execute.

He expressed optimistic that as commercial nerve centre of the state, construction of the road would improve economic standard of the local government, state and the country at large.

Contributing on the bill, Aliyu Namaigora Danjibga of Tsafe West and Yusuf Muhammad Anka urged government to construct the road to ease hardship being faced by motorists plying the road.

Speaker ZSHA, Alhaji Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya

After deliberations, the Speaker Alhaji Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya directed the House committee on works and Transport forward the matter to the executive for immediate implementation.

The House also considered a bill for the establishment of Zamfara State Directorate of Investment and public private partnership and other Matters connected therewith 2020 and gave it second reading.

The bill was forwarded to the House committee on commerce and industries for further scrutiny and report back to the plenary in two weeks.

It also recommended some adjustment of the House special and standing committees which saw Ibrahim Tudu Tukur Bakura as the Chairman, Committee on Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development.
