Federal Govt Commission N280m Immigration Service Office In Kaduna

Minister of Interior, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola has charged Nigerian Immigration Service NIS to ensure effective border control toward stopping Criminals from entering into the cosuntry.

He gave the charge during commissioning of the new Ultra Modern office complex of the Service Command Headquarters in Kaduna.

Alhaji Aregbesola called on the officers and men of the Service to be extra Vigilant as well as avoid activities that would undermine effective performance of duty and safety of the country.

He commended the Service for the gradual deployment of technology in their operation and thanked relavant stakeholders for support at ensuring border control.

The Minister applauded the Comptroller General for taking giant stride particularly the yet to be Commission, Technology Building Command and control centre at the Headquarters in Abuja.

According to Aregbesola, the Center will be the hub of Migration Data Management and Analysis in the country, stressing that from the technology building, staffs can be monitoring borders and to Collect Data from everywhere.

He however , stressed tha the command office complex were built in the 36 States and the FCT.

In a speech, Governor Nasiru Elrufai stressed that the Nigerian Immigration Service was helpful to kaduna state in repatriating Almajiri Boys back to their state of destination as well as those that came from neighbouring countries.

Also, The Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Mohammed Babandede said the Ultra Modern Office Complex was build at the cost of 280 million naira and commeded Governor Nasiru for ensuring allocation of the land to the service.
