The late Emir of Kauru Alhaji Jafaru Abubakar has been described as a selfless and patriotic leader who strived tirelessly towards development of his domain, State and the Country at large.
Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists FRCN Kaduna Chapel Comrade Umar Adamu Sarkin Fada stated this when he led other members of the Union on a condolence visit to the Emir’s Palace in Kauru.
Comrade Umar Adamu Sarkin Fada explained that late Alhaji Jafaru Abubakar was a leader who carried everyone along, irrespective of tribal or religious affiliation, which translated to peaceful co-existence in the emirate.
He maintained that the late Monarch had left an indelible mark that would not be forgotten in a hurry.
Comrade Umar Adamu Sarkin Fada urged the bereaved family to emulate the sterling qualities the late emir inculcated in them so as to become useful members of the society, and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
Responding, the Madaki of Kauru, who was the eldest son of the late Emir, Alhaji Muhammadu Jafaru Abubakar said the deceased impressed morality in them worthy of emulation.
He also described him as very compassionate with the downtrodden, one who detests injustice and committed to religious obligations.
He expressed appreciation to members of the union for identifying with the family at their trying moments.
Also speaking, one of the wives of the late Emir, Hajiya Halima, portrayed the deceased as a patient, committed husband and father who placed high premium on proper upbringing and welfare of his family.
She noted that his sterling qualities would sorely be missed by his family, and prayed Allah to admit him in paradise.
Malama Habiba Jafar of the News and Current Affairs Department, FRCN Kaduna a daughter to the late Emir described him as an upright and considerate father while praying for the repose of his soul.
Late Emir Jafaru Abubakar was the Twenty-third district head of Kauru before his eventual appointment as first Emir of Kauru in September Nineteen Ninety-three.
In the year Two Thousand and One, former Governor Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi presented staff of office to him as third class Emir, and was eventually elevated to second class Emir in Two Thousand and Seven, a position he held till his death.
Alhaji Jafaru Abubakar died last Thursday, after a protracted illness at the age of Seventy-five.
He is survived by four wives, twenty-nine children and many grandchildren.
