NEMA Trains Staff On Basic First Aid Response In Kano

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)has reaffirmed it’s commitment in providing the requisite training for it’s personnel on basic first Aid and it’s Rudiments,aimed at ensuring competency for effective response to emergencies.

The Director General of NEMA Air Vice Marshal Muhammadu Mohammed (Rtd )stated this during the opening ceremony of a two day training on Basic First Aid Training on emergency Response, Organized by NEMA in collaboration with Nigerian Red Cross Society kano office, held in Kano.

Air Vice Marshal Muhammadu Mohammed (Rtd) represented by the Territorial Coordinator Kano,Jigawa offices Malam Sanusi Ado said the Training was geared towards building the capacity of their staff in Responding to disasters and Emergencies aimed at saving lives and properties.

He said improving staff competency and operational Readiness remains the cardinal objectives of the current Leadership of NEMA.

AVM Mohammadu Mohammed urged participants of the Training to make judicious use of the experience they would acquire during the two days training ,and urged them to step down the training,with the aim of achieving the set objectives.

In his remark the executive secretary Nigerian Red Cross Kano Alhaji Musa Abdullahi said the Training was Targeted at acquainting the staff of NEMA with new skills and techniques of live saving during Emergencies.

Aisha Mohammad Hassan And Umar Shitu Madigawa were among the participants of the Training,they said the Training would play a vital Role in boosting their capacity on Responding to Emergencies whenever the need arise.

The training was attended by staff of NEMA from Kano and Jigawa offices.
