About 664 Workers Receive Training On Education In Jigawa

Jigawa State Local Government Service Commission says over 1,300 staff on grade levels 7-16 drawn from the 27 local government areas were promoted in accordance to the stated law last year.

The Chairman, local government  service commission DIG Uba Bala Ringim (rtd) stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Dutse, the state capital.

According to him, 664 staff received training on various educational endeavors at the cost of N83.97million, While 907 have retired from service.

Uba Bala Ringim explained  Over 100 active local government  staff died last year in the state and were not connected to covid-19 pandemic.

He said 1,301 staff on levels 7-16 drawn across the 27 local government areas were promoted in accordance with the law and 605 staff attended 32 workshops, seminars and induction courses during the year under review.

The Chairman added that the commission was committed to providing quality service delivery and manpower developement for staff of the local government areas from level 6-16 ranging from discpline, training and promotion.
