The Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN, North East zone Alhaji Yahaya Maikano has charged staff of Peace FM Maiduguri to always promote peace building and unity of the country in their programmes and news reportage.
Alhaji Yahaya Maikano gave the charge during end of year ceremony and presentation of welfare package to staff at the broadcasting house in Maiduguri.

Represented by the General Manager Peace FM Hajiya Fatima Audu Yusuf, stressed that without peace, unity and harmonous coexistence, the region and the country cannot attain meaningful growth and development.
The Zonal Director commended staff for dedication and commitment to work despite prevelence of insurgency and covid-19 pandemic.
According to Alhaji Yahaya Maikano, Peace FM Maiduguri has earned public trust and is receiving accolade from government, non governmental organisations and the public because of quality and creative content.
He commended the Director General of FRCN, Dr Mansur Liman for the guidance and leadership qualities and Borno state government for continued support and assistance, assuring that the station would continue producing innovative contents.
Speaking, the NUJ Chairman Peace Fm chapel Abba Dikko and his RATTAWU counterpart Abubakar Gajibo commended the management for sustaining the gesture despite lean resources occasioned by the pandemic.
Items presented to each staff include carton of spaghetti, cooking oil, seasoning and cash assistant.
