Police Uncovers Kidnapping Syndicate In Adamawa State

Adamawa State Police Command has uncovered a syndicate of kidnappers and rescued 2 people in their den.

Operatives of the Command who stormed the den succeeded in rounding up 9 members of the syndicate who are now in police custody.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, in a statement revealed that 2 of the suspects who are from Dapchi in Yobe State came into Adamawa, recruited the other 7 and formed the kidnapping. syndicate.

DSP Suleiman Nguroje specified that the operatives who were drawn from Song Police Division, successfully rescued 1 Babawuro Damuwa and 1 Yarima Musa of Song town during the raid on the kidnappers’ den.

He gave the names of the arrested suspects as Ndam Usai (29), Buba Adam (22), Buba Alim (39), Bodi Kulawal (25), Sale Musa (28), Babiri Gula (23), Abayel Ahmadu (28), Sani Muhd (24) and Abdullah Hassan (36).

According to him, police got onto the suspects after they conspired, kidnapped and demanded N4 million ransom from the families of Babawuro and Yerima.

“Upon receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adeyanju, deployed combined operatives of police and hunters who eventually rescued the victims and apprehended the suspects.”

“Findings so far reveal that the first and the second suspects came all the way from Yobe State and recruited the third to ninth suspects and they eventually formed a syndicate to be carrying out kidnapping activities,” Nguroje explained.
