Over 300 Tankers Involve In Accident This Year

Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC says over 300 tankers are involved in accident this year.

Corp Marshal, Boboye oyeyemi stated this during a meeting with leadership of the petroleum tanker drivers association in kaduna.

He assured that the corps would continue to accord priority to accident preventive measures.

Boboye oyeyemi maintained that the Corp would carry out audit of trucks to ensure that only those in good condition were allowed on the road.

The Corp marshal stressed the need for tanker drivers association to ensure it members register with insurance companies for compensation of victims of accident.

Boboye oyeyemi reaffirm commitment towards training of drivers to reduce road accident and reminded them on the need for use of safety valves.

In a remark the president, Petroleum tankar drivers Mr Solomon Akanni stressed the need for repairs of roads to reduce accident.

He said the association had forward complaint to Lagos State government on activities of area boys since the end of endsars protest for solution..

Mr Solomon Akanni said members of the association were ready to pay toll gate fees, if the roads were put in good condition.

He assured of partnering with federal road safety corps to reduce accident..
