4 Public School Students Bag Scholarship In Ilorin

Four students, selected through statewide public primary and secondary schools examination in Kwara state have been granted full scholarships by managements of a private schools in the state.

Presenting the dummy Cheque of the multi million naira scholarships to the beneficiaries in Ilorin, the proprietor of the private School, Mrs. Jumoke Harb, said that the programme was conceived as part of their social responsibility to the society.

According to her, the scholarship granted to the successful students will cover all their schooling expenses, including that of educational materials.

She said the introduction of the scholarship programme has clearly confirmed that there is the need for urgent intervention in the educational sector.

Mrs. Harb, commended the state ministry of Education and Human Capital Development for it efforts in ensuring the success of the schorlarship examination .

In a remark, the state commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Fatimah Ahmed, represented by Director, Quality Assurance in the ministry, Mrs. Comfort Abioye, urged the management of the school to increase the number of beneficiaries in subsequent years.
