No Facemask No Voting – INEC Insist

Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, in charge of Zamfara State Mrs Asma’u Sani Maikudi

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, in charge of Zamfara State Mrs Asma’u Sani Maikudi, has stressed that, all voters must wear facemask before voting in the upcoming Bakura State constituency bye election.

Mrs Asmau Maikudi who stated this during a Press Conference in Gusau Said, using facemask has became a National policy which must be respected.

The REC revealed that, 89,615 registered voters are expected to cast their votes during the Bakura State constituency bye election in 10 Wards, 114 Polling Units and 9 Voting Points on the 5th December, 2020 saying all voters are expected to make provision for their facemasks before they can be allowed to vote.

She noted that, all eligible voters in Bakura will be allowed to vote, however, those with COVID-19 symptoms will be evacuated by medical personnel to be provided by the INEC.

Mrs Asma’u Sani who reiterated the INEC’s determination to deliver Free, Fair, Credible and Accepted Election, urged people of Bakura state constituency, Political parties, media and other stakeholders to corporate with INEC for successful conduct of the Election.
