Police Rejects N250,000 Bribe, Recovers Stolen Vehicle In Zamfara

Zamfara State Police Command has arrested a notorious Car Snatcher and recovered a stolen vehicle.

Public Relations Officer, SP Shehu Muhammad made this known at the Command Headquarters in Gusau.

SP Shehu Explained that, the Suspect was apprehended by a combined team of Mobile Police and Counter Terrorism Unit Personnel of the Command stationed at Tazame Pin down along Gusau-Zaria Road

According to him, the suspect who could not give account of how he got the Vehicle, offered a bribe of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira to the Policemen which raised suspicion and subsequent arrest

He said, in the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed, the Vehicle was stolen at Wuse Market in Abuja by one Abdullahi a member of his gang.

The Suspect, Sirajo Ibrahim who spoke to Radio Nigeria at the police command, said he was to deliver the Vehicle to One Adamu at Magama, a border between Niger Republic and Nigeria in Katsina State.

He added that he was paid N30,000 for the assignment.
