Defense Industry Corporation of Nigeria, DICON has donated modern farm equipments and machines to Greenfield University Kaduna towards promoting the agricultural drive of the federal government
The Director General of DICON Major General Victor Ugwu made this known to news men while delivering the
farm equipments at the university premises in kaduna state.
Major General Victor Ugwu explained that the farm machines that included a tractor, mower and a slasher would go along way in boosting the entrepreneurial skills of students of agricultural science and technology towards making them self reliant upon graduation
He pledged that DICON would do more by assisting Greenfield University in the areas of technology, Defence and security to enable the institutions deliver on it’s mandate of training and research.
The Pro-Chancellor of Greenfield University, Eng.Simon Nwakacha while thanking the DG of DICON for the donation, revealed that the institution was fully set to start large-scale farming as part of it’s entrepreneurial scheme.
He said the institution was also determined to stand out in the areas of research, theory and entrepreneurship to produce graduate that would be gainfully employed for growth and development of the nation.
