Police Service Commision has approved the dismissal of ten senior Police Officers and reduction of rank of nine others.
The Head of Press and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani said in Abuja that the Commision also approved severe reprimand for twenty-one officers while three others were exonerated.
The decision taken at a meeting presided over by the Chairman, Mr. Musiliu Smith said forty-three cases of police misconduct were treated.
He explained that one Assistant Commissioner of Police, two Superintendents of Police, three Deputy Superintendents of Police and four Assistant Superintendents of Police were dismissed.
Mr. Ani said the Commision further directed the prosecution of six officers comprising one Assistant Commissioner of Police, one Superintendent of Police, two Assistant Superintendent of Police.
