NUT Vice Chairman Urges Teachers To Be Law Abiding

Secondary School Teachers in Kwara state have been urged not to allow themselves to be used under any guise to distrupt public peace in the state.

The Nigeria Union of Teacher (NUT) first Vice chairman in the state ,Comrade Adigun Gabriel made the call while Speaking with Journalists in Ilorin.

According to him Teachers in the state who are role models should be peaceful and law abiding.

Comrade Gabriel explained that the idea of establishing a new body to represent the interested of certain group of Teachers will not be in the interest of the teaching profession.

He said section 4 of the trade union Act does not allow the formation of another union to represent workers when there is an existing one.

Comrade Gabriel urged all Teachers in the state to remain law abiding and ensure peace at their duty post.

He however called on security agencies to ensure no group is allowed to distrupt the industrial peace in the state
