Kadpoly Academic Staff Union Calls For Reopening of Schools

Federal Government has been called upon to consider reopening of tertiary institutions due to decline in cases of Covid-19 infected persons.

Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Kaduna Polytechnic Chapter, Comrade Mohammed Mohammed stated this to the media during swearing in ceremony of new executives of the union in Kaduna.

Comrade Mohammed Mohammed explained that with continues enlightenment and necessary protocols in place by most of the schools, it is possible to control the spread of the virus which had slowed academic activities in the country.

He pledged quality leadership that would ensure protection of its members welfare for effective service delivery. 

The newly elected chairman, also promised to work in synergy with the school Alumni Executives to revitalize decayed facilities in the institution to enhance better learning condition.

In a remark, Rector of the institution, Professor Idris Muhammad advised the new executives to pursue demands of its members in a manner that  would not affect operation of the school.

Nine people were elected and sworn in to different positions of leadership to serve for two years.
