Chief of Army Staff Inspects Weapons at Engineering Depot Kaduna

Nigerian Army has commended engineering depot for manufacturing and calibrating army vehicles.

Chief of Army staff, Lt General Tukur Yusuf Buratai gave the commendation during an inspection visit to command engineering depot at Rigachikun, Kaduna.

Represented by Major General Nuhu Bala Angbazo, the Army chief expressed delight over the depot’s efforts at producing vehicles and other artifacts for Nigerian Armed forces.

Earlier, commandant of the depot, Major General Sunday Simon Aroye said the depot would soon expand its activities to cover marine services.

He expressed gratitude for the visit pledgede availability of standard equipment which would translate to success in the fight against terrorism and crimes.

During the visit, the Army chief was conducted round to inspect indegineous fighting equipment and innovations and fabricated mobile drilling machine.

Others are infantry patrol vehicles, vertical and horizontal milling machines, smart factory and eight unit of bedroom apartment for officers and soldiers among others.

Lt General Tukur Buratai was also at 44 army reference hospital, where he inspected renovated officers accommodation. COV/Usman Sani.
