President Muhammadu Buhari has extended phase two of the eased lockdown by another four weeks with effect from June 30 through midnight of July 27, 2020.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha announced this at the daily briefing of the PTF in Abuja
Mr. Boss Mustapha who is Chairman of the PTF noted that the extension had some modifications that allows inter-state travel outside the curfew hours which is 10: 00 pm to 4:00 am daily.
He said there would be Enforcement of laws around non-pharmaceutical interventions by States, in particular, the use of face masks in public places
The PTF Chairman stressed that the second phase of the eased lockdown had made way for safe re-opening of schools to allow students in graduating classes resume so as to prepare for examinations.
