National Development Funds Bill Passes Second Reading

The bill for an Act to establish National Agricultural Development Fund has passed second reading at the senate. 
The sponsor of the bill ,senator Abdullahi Adamu, representing Nassarawa West,  explained that the bill would enable farmers have easier access to funds for agricultural mechanisation.
 He also said that the bill when it become an Act  would facilitate massive investment in the agricultural sector of the economy.

Senator Abdullahi while canvassing his colleagues to pass the bill insisted the it would create more job opportunities for the Nigerian youths. 
In a remark, the president of the senate Ahmad Lawan noted that the bill would celebrate the economy of the country adding that  bill would enable food security in the country.
 

Senator Lawan referred the bill to the senate committee on Agriculture for further legislative action.
Also the Senate has passed to second reading a bill for an act to establish the National Electoral Offences Commission and for related matter From Bashir Aliyu
