Kaduna State Government will continue to offer Quality Basic Education Services to promote Educational Development.

Chairman, Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board, KADSUBEB, Sani Abdullahi stated this during an exclusive interview with Radio Nigeria in Kaduna.

Mr. Sani Abdullahi said as part of effort to ensure Quality Education in the state, Twenty Five Thousand teachers were recruited to replace the Twenty One Thousand earlier disengaged.

He confirmed that intervention funds received from the Federal Government had assisted the state to construct new classrooms and also renovated existing ones to create conducive atmosphere for both teaching and learning.

The Chairman of KADSUBEB said Kaduna was among seventeen states that had enjoyed the World Bank Intervention Programme; Better Education Service Delivery for all, being implemented to reduce out of school children.

He further commended Governor Nasiru Ahmed El’rufai for implementing the Free and Compulsory Basic Education in line with Universal Basic Education Laws pointing out that the state had embarked on massive advocacy and sensitization for parents and guardians to return their children to school.

Mr. Sani Abdullahi stressed that the exercise was targeted at addressing three key areas: those who are not in school, those who have enrolled but absconded as well as those who are in school but learning was not taking place.

He said achieving functional and inclusive quality basic education in the state and the nation at large was a duty for all and called on critical stakeholders to work with government to ensure Quality Education for all in the country.
