President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria- Canada relations is very cordial and expressed the desire to further strengthen bilateral ties.

The President stated this when he met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the sideline of the thirty third AU summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

He emphasized the vital roles between the two countries in terms of trade being one of the biggest customers of Nigeria’s crude oils and the choice of Canada for higher education by Nigerian students.

In his remarks, the Canadian Prime Minister described President Buhari as a leader in Africa stressing that it was a pleasure to engage in regional and International issues.
