Progressive Governors Forum has reaffirmed its commitment to redesigning strategies, restructuring party operations, and implementing structural reforms within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to enhance its chances of success in future general elections in Nigeria.
The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, gave the assurance at the end of the Forum’s meeting in Abuja, where members reviewed the party’s recent achievements.
Governor Uzodinma said the meeting assessed the outcome of the party’s primary elections and recent by-elections across the country, in which the All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded significant successes.
He also assured their readiness to continue to work together, support and strengthen the ruling party to prepare very well ahead of the future general elections in Nigeria for more fruitful results.
Hope further explained that the meeting also discussed extensively on how to address all the challenges confronting the progress of our democratic system
The forum reaffirmed its commitment to meeting with the party’s leadership to finalise plans and strategies for the forthcoming National Assembly and presidential elections.
According to him, the meeting will address both external and intra-party challenges that could potentially undermine the party’s performance during the elections.
He expressed confidence that the move would strengthen the ongoing efforts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to resolve all outstanding issues well ahead of the polls and secure a resounding victory.
Governor Hope Uzodinma also assured Nigerians of a brighter future if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is given a second term in office.
He said the administration’s long-term developmental projects under the Renewed Hope Agenda would deliver greater dividends of democracy and improve the lives of Nigerians.
