Police Commences Investigation On Slain Student In Kwara

Kwara State Police Command says it has commenced investigations into the killing of Qoyum Ishola , a student of Kwara state Polytechnic Ilorin.

Ishola was alleged to have been killed by the police on September 4th in Zango area of Ilorin metropolis.

In a statement , the state Commissioner of Police Mr Victor Olaiya said the Command is committed to seeking justice on behalf of the deceased.

The statement explained that a thorough investigation has already commenced and actors and witnesses have been identified.

The statement noted that the Command is fully dedicated to uncovering the facts of the matter,  and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice in accordance with the law.

The statement said the Command pledge to conduct the process of investigations with the utmost integrity, leaving no room for doubt or compromise.

The statement also appealed to the general public, student’s community and those directly impacted, to remain calm and allow the law to take its rightful course
