Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been informed that their monthly stipends will be increased in line with the newly approved federal minimum wage for civil servants.

The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, stated this during his visits to corps members at the Kebbi State Orientation Camp in Dakingari and the Sokoto State Orientation Camp in Wamakko.

He emphasized the significant and selfless contributions of corps members to the socio-economic development of Nigeria, stating that their efforts are highly valued.

In addition, General Ahmed urged the corps members to view their service year as a valuable opportunity for personal growth and future planning.

He also encouraged them to actively engage in the NYSC’s skill acquisition and entrepreneurial development programs, which are designed to equip them with employable skills that will foster self-sufficiency.
