Nasarawa Assembly Receives Report on Education Trust Fund Bill

Nasarawa State House of Assembly has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting any executive bill aimed at enhancing quality education in the state.

The Assembly emphasized that, given the critical role of quality education in societal development, it is prioritizing the Education Trust Fund Bill.

During the House proceedings in Lafia, Speaker Mr. Danladi Jatau assured support while receiving the House Committee on Education’s report on the Bill to Establish the Nasarawa State Education Trust Fund and Related Matters.

The Speaker said the Assembly would leave no stone unturned to ensure that quality education is provided in the state and scheduled the 10th of September, 2024, for the deliberation of the report.

In related development, a Bill to amend the Nasarawa State Water Supply and Sanitation Law, 2023, and related matters, has passed its first reading on the floor of the House.

Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker, made this announcement during today’s House proceedings in Lafia.

The Speaker scheduled the second reading of the bill for September 11, 2024.
