The Chairman of the Southern Senators Forum, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, has expressed deep sadness upon learning about the passing of the beloved mother of his colleague, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua, who is the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum.
In a statement, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru notes that Hajia Dada Musa Yar’Adua was not only a pillar of strength for the Yar’Adua family but also the revered matriarch of one of Nigeria’s most distinguished families. “Her passing marks the end of an era and leaves a void that will be profoundly felt by all who knew her.”
Senator Abiru was further quoted as saying, “As the mother of the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum and our beloved former President, His Excellency Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, she was a source of inspiration, nurturing a legacy of service and leadership that has greatly impacted our nation. Her grace, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to her family and community will forever be remembered.”
He concluded by expressing, “In this time of profound loss, I extend, on behalf of the forum, our deepest condolences to Senator Abdulaziz, the entire family, and the government and people of Katsina State. May the cherished memories bring them comfort, and may Almighty Allah grant her Al Jannah Firdaus. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies.”
