The Zamfara State House of Assembly has reviewed the Auditor General’s Report on the 2023 accounts of the fourteen local government councils during today’s session.
The motion to debate the report was led by House Majority Leader, Honourable Bello Muhammad Mazawajje Tsafe, and seconded by Deputy Speaker, Honourable Adamu Aliyu Gummi.
Honourable Bello stressed the importance of the report for legislative action, and other members, including Honourable Rilwanu Marafa Nagambo and Honourable Mikailu Aliyu Dangulbi, emphasized the need for a thorough examination.
Speaker Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki assigned the Public Accounts Committee to scrutinize the report and provide recommendations.
Additionally, the House called on authorities to provide documents related to pension payments, a motion supported by Honourable Rilwanu Marafa Nagambo Anka and others.
