Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna has performed the groundbreaking
for the re-construction of a 21.95 kilometer Roads from Madauchi to
Kafanchan through Madakiya, linking Matsirga Waterfalls to Jama’a up to Zangon Kataf local government.
At the ceremony in Zangon Kataf, Governor Uba Sani said the Madauchi – Madakiya Road was the most important route in the entire Kafanchan Metropolitan Area.
Governor Sani said the road links to Zango Kataf, Kaura, and Jema’a local governments to enable the people who are mainly farmers to access markets and services.
“The Madauchi -Madakiya Road reduces the travel time between Kafanchan and
Zonkwa by half. It is the only alternate road to the Zonkwa -Samaru – Kagoro Road”
He explained that, the project was a clear demonstration of his administration total commitment to the implementation of Rural Transformation agenda.
The governor pointed out that, Kaduna State government key target was to remove all the impediments to people’s socio-economic advancement.
“We have embarked on integrated and comprehensive accelerated
rural development for economic and sustainable growth.
“We are building networks of roads supported by effective drainages in all rural LGA headquarters, with solar street lights to extend daylight economic and social activities in these communities while enhancing their security”
Earlier, the Senator representing Southern Kaduna, Senator Marshall Katung applauded governor Uba Sani for the reconstruction of the important road that would link to three local governments.
Senator Katung also commended the governor for the ongoing projects embarked upon In Southern Kaduna to improving the lives of people of the area.
He assured total commitment of residents of the area for their total support his administration administration, explained that, the time of politics was over and now it is time for governance.
A resident of Southern Kaduna, Comrade Adams Usman in an interview disclosed that, the ground breaking clearly shows that, the present administration of Kaduna government cares for people irrespective of religion or ethnicity.
Similarly, the Governor had also performed the groundbreaking for the construction of a 14.8km Access Road from Danbushiya Junction to Keke A to Keke B to Keke Makera to Doka Mai Jama’a to Sabon Gero to Danhonou 2 in Chikun Local government area of the state.
Malam Uba Sani further revealed that, the contractors are adequately funded to meet project deadlines, especially during
the rainy season.
He said when completed, the road would serve approximately 70 communities in Millennium City, significantly improving the social, economic, cultural, and political landscape of the area as well as to enhance security in the city and its surroundings.
The governor urged all the communities that will benefit from the road
construction to give their maximum cooperation to the contractor
to ensure it speedy completion.
The Governor was accompanied by his Deputy Dr Hadiza Balarabe, Commissioners and other top government officials.
